Operations Engineer responsibilities:
System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor the performance and health of RNG production systems, including biogas purification, upgrading, and injection processes. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any operational issues that arise.
Process Optimization: Continuously improve operational efficiency and productivity through process optimization and automation. Identify areas for improvement in the RNG production process and implement solutions to maximize output and minimize costs.
Compliance and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that RNG production facilities comply with all relevant environmental regulations and safety standards. Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that RNG produced meets required specifications and standards. Monitor gas composition and purity levels and take corrective actions as needed to maintain product quality.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans to address any unforeseen operational incidents or emergencies.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders and regulatory agencies to ensure timely and effective response to emergencies.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with equipment vendors and service providers. Procure necessary equipment and materials for RNG production operations and oversee vendor performance to ensure timely delivery and quality service.
Training and Development: Provide training and support to operations staff to ensure proper operation and maintenance of RNG production facilities. Develop training programs and materials to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in developing and managing operational budgets for RNG production facilities. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures to optimize operational expenditures and maximize profitability.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of operational procedures, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance records. Prepare regular reports on operational performance, including production metrics, efficiency indicators, and compliance status, for management and regulatory purposes.
