We’re supporting a growing RNG operator in securing a Maintenance Technician to join a high-performing site team in West Seneca. This is a critical, boots-on-the-ground role where you’ll be responsible for keeping key infrastructure operational—from anaerobic digesters through to gas upgrading systems. Sector: Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) / Anaerobic Digestion

Salary: From $30 per hour + full benefits

What You’ll Be Doing

Deliver troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance across plant equipment
Diagnose and resolve issues across:
Electrical systems (4–20mA, 120–460 VAC)
Instrumentation and control systems
Utilise SCADA/HMI platforms to monitor and optimise system performance
Execute and enhance preventative maintenance schedules
Interpret schematics, manuals, and wiring diagrams to plan repairs
Manage work orders and maintenance tracking via CMMS systems
Source parts, manage inventory, and minimise operational downtime
Implement temporary fixes when required to maintain uptime
Support operations teams and develop cross-functional capability
Train operators and peers where needed
Maintain site standards for safety, cleanliness, and compliance
Identify and escalate safety risks proactively
What We’re Looking For
5+ years’ experience in industrial maintenance
Strong background across:
Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems
Experience working with:
Motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors (highly advantageous)
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems
Experience operating forklifts or powered industrial equipment
Solid understanding of health & safety regulations and best practices

Working Environment

This role operates across both indoor and outdoor environments and requires comfort working in:

Variable weather conditions (heat, cold, wet)
High-noise and high-odour environments
Exposure to industrial processes including biogas systems, food waste, and chemicals
Environments requiring full PPE compliance

 

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week
Day shift with overtime and on-call requirements

 

Physical Requirements

Regular lifting up to 35 lbs (up to 50 lbs with assistance)
Frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling
Working at height and in confined/awkward spaces
Strong manual dexterity and situational awareness
