Job Description

 

We’re supporting a growing operator in securing an Industrial Millwright to join their London, Ontario facility. This is a critical mechanical role, focused on maintaining and optimising equipment essential to plant performance—from material handling systems through to core process equipment. If you’re a licensed Millwright who takes pride in keeping complex systems running efficiently—this is a role where your impact is immediate and measurable.

Location: London, Ontario

Sector: Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) / Waste-to-Energy

Salary: $43–$45 per hour + full benefits

What You’ll Be Doing

Perform mechanical maintenance, repair, and rebuilds across plant equipment
Maintain and service:
Pumps (centrifugal & progressive cavity)
Mixers and material handling systems
Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns, maximising uptime
Execute preventative and corrective maintenance programmes
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Support inventory management of critical spare parts
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and worksite organisation
Respond to emergency call-outs as part of on-call rotation
Identify and escalate safety risks and equipment defects
Work closely with Operations to ensure smooth plant performance

 

What We’re Looking For

Licensed Millwright (Ontario) – essential
3+ years’ experience in industrial environments
Wastewater, waste management, or process industries preferred
Strong hands-on experience in:
Welding & pipefitting
Pump systems (centrifugal & progressive cavity)
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems under pressure

Working Environment

You’ll be operating within a heavy industrial plant environment, including:

High noise, odours, and exposure to process materials
Interaction with oils, fuels, and industrial chemicals
Indoor plant conditions with occasional outdoor/uneven terrain work
Full compliance with PPE and safety protocols

 

Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
On-call rotation: Every 4 weeks

 

Physical Requirements

Regular lifting up to 35 lbs (50 lbs with assistance)
Frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling
Working in physically demanding, industrial conditions
Strong manual dexterity and situational awareness
