Job Description

 

We’re working with a fast-scaling Renewable Natural Gas operator seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to play a critical role in keeping complex biogas and upgrading systems running at peak performance. This is a hands-on, high-impact position where your work directly influences plant uptime, gas production, and ultimately the success of a growing RNG operation. Location: Auburn, NY

Sector: Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) / Anaerobic Digestion

Salary: $35–$38 per hour + full benefits

What You’ll Be Doing

Own troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance across plant equipment
Diagnose and resolve faults across:
Pumps, conveyors, compressors, gearboxes
Electrical systems (4–20mA, 120–460 VAC)
Use SCADA/HMI systems to monitor plant health and optimise performance
Execute and continuously improve preventative maintenance programmes
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to plan repairs
Utilise CMMS systems to manage work orders and maintenance tracking
Source parts, manage inventory, and minimise downtime
Perform temporary fixes when needed to maintain operations
Support operations teams and cross-train across plant functions
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment

 

What We’re Looking For

5+ years in industrial maintenance (energy, waste, manufacturing, or similar)
Strong experience across:
Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems
Motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors & instrumentation
Proven ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical faults
Experience operating forklifts or powered industrial equipment
Working knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practices

Schedule

Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime + on-call rotation as required

 

Physical Requirements

Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
Climbing, bending, working in confined or awkward spaces
Working at height (ladders/platforms)
