Job Overview:
This Position will support Maintenance Supervisor with respect to all maintenance and repairing of components for variety of electrical equipment and plant instrumentation.
Job Responsibilities:
• Understands and follows all electrical safety regulations and codes
• Installing wiring and conduit in assembling and troubleshooting circuits.
• Parts- Analyzing part failure/malfunction, considering alternatives, using precision equipment, maintaining spare part inventory.
• Preventive Maintenance – Performing routine scheduled maintenance tasks related to instrument and electrical work.
• Equipment History Records- Maintain records using CMMS system, keep system up to date, modify as required for new equipment, parts, etc.
• Under direction, to carry out instrument and system maintenance and repair activities.
• Programs, services, calibrates, troubleshoots, and repairs a variety of electronic , and pneumatic instruments, computerized equipment, and control systems; performs a variety of tests, including but not limited to, physical and chemical analysis and water treatment; operates a variety of electronic and computerized metering instruments and equipment; utilizes a variety of hand tools; observes instruments.
• Knowledge of instrumentation; principles of electronics, physics, chemistry; characteristics of electronic testing equipment; computer operation; current Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) platforms (e.g. Windows, Siemens PROFIBUS etc.);
• Knowledgeable of South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), rules, regulations, and enforcement procedures.
Safety/ Environmental Focus:
Promotes a Safety Policy which fosters a DO IT SAFE or not at all philosophy. Anaergia applies strict adherence to plant permit requirements with a focus on sustainability and protecting the environment. This position requires the ability to strictly follow safety practices, rules and procedures working with process equipment and mentor and coach less experienced operators in the same. Ability to look after others and communicate to them when you observe unsafe behaviors. Ability to take a proactive approach to fostering a safe work environment with a philosophy “Zero Injuries are Achievable”. Identify, report and correct unsafe working conditions and/or equipment in an efficient and timely manner. Respond quickly to emergency conditions on equipment and ability to learn equipment isolation Lock Out Tag Out procedures. Ability to work at heights and small confined spaces. Ability to Wear Personnel Protective Equipment such as but not limited to Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Goggles, Hearing Protection, Safety Shoes/Boots, Respirators, SCBA, Dust Masks, chemical suits or Electrical Proximity Suits.
Job Requirements:
• Ideally 5 years of recent instrumentation and controls field experience related to any of the following industrial processes: high pressure steam boilers, combustion turbines, industrial engines and generators, or refineries. NOTE: Additional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year for year basis.
• Ideally 5 years of progressively responsible experience maintaining industrial plant process equipment.
• Attainment of journey-level status with work experience in industrial plant process equipment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record, the ability to become manlift and forklift certified.
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to ready schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Solid Waste / Wastewater / Biogas / Power Generation/ Industrial specific competences
• Fluent in English
