Biogas I&E Technicians will be responsible for the maintenance, installation, calibration and inspection of all instrumentation and electronic equipment on the gas processing and ancillary assets including flow control devices, various types of measurement, PLC, ESDs, and communication equipment required in process measurement and operations. An unrelenting focus on safety for all activities is paramount.
With a customer-centric focus, Biogas I&E Specialists must possess a strong capacity for attention to detail and a sense of urgency for both the customer and the company to meet and exceed operation goals.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the installation, maintenance, operation and accuracy of all electrical instrumentation on gas conditioning and measurement equipment.
• Lead field employees in the maintenance, installation, calibration, valve inspection/maintenance, installation of new I&E components, install/maintain I&E equipment including communication equipment required in SCADA operations, and all other general activities associated with maintenance of plant I&E equipment.
• Install, inspect, test, adjust, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and remove advanced measurement, control and regulation equipment, SCADA and quality equipment.
• Read and interpret panel drawings and control schematics.
• Trouble shoot 12/24V systems & components.
• Troubleshoot 4-20mA systems & components.
• Experience with Fieldvue positioners, digital valve controllers, basic PLC protocols, pressure and temperature sensors, liquid level switches & controllers.
• Detect measurement errors and correct volumes as needed and provide supporting documentation.
• Test and calibrate safety devices to include ESD valves, loops and switches, gas safety sensors, and fire safety sensors.
• Monitor gas and liquid product volumes through the measurement system, ensure all corrections are applied and ensure proper qualities are applied.
• Interpret and apply electrical and electronic schematics pertaining to EFM and measurement electronics.
• Safely operate and maintain on-site electrical gas conditioning equipment.
• Manage the performance of multiple units simultaneously.
• Analyze data and identify problems or trends related to field measurement operations.
• Prepare reports and operational recommendations related to measurement and pressure regulation equipment.
• Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork, including but not limited to, maintaining logs of operating conditions, execution and issues and report any irregularities.
• Routinely communicate with Operations Manager.
• Oversee the operation and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
• Perform general housekeeping duties and be familiar with HAZOP and Spill Prevention Plans.
• Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.

Qualifications
• Associate degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 years experience in gas or liquid processing or related fields.
Experience / specific knowledge:
• Experience with measurement and sub components.
• MVT/MVS calibration and testing.
• Experience with Pressure Regulation and Control devices.
• Redlion and Crimson Software experience.
• Troubleshooting, Repair, Commissioning.
• Some experience with gas processing systems – Compression, Filtration, Dehydration, Gas Chromatographs, PLC’s, SCADA.
• Working knowledge of the National Electric Codes.
• Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high-pressure systems.
• Knowledge with electronic test instruments.
• Knowledge of gas and liquid chromatography.
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic equipment used in gas and liquid product measurement and control.
• Knowledge of AGA, API, and GPA measurement standards certifications, licenses, registrations.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and meet company insurability requirements.
• May be required to possess a commercial driver’s license, drive a company commercial vehicle and comply with all commercial vehicle regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s and other construction and fabrication drawings.
• Familiarity with appropriate DOT codes for natural gas transportation.
• Ability to travel.
• May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties.
• Required to complete a background check and drug screening before being hired.
