AD Energy is looking for an electrical engineer for one of our key clients in the US. This is a remote position and has a salary range up to $150,000 (depending on experience).

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Engineer will lead the design and engineering of electrical infrastructure for RNG projects, focusing on medium- and low-voltage power systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage electrical components of assigned projects from concept through completion
• Design power distribution systems, including medium and low voltage
• Engineer components such as switchgear, MCCs, motor starters, panel boards, UPS systems, and circuits
• Produce high-quality electrical drawings and specifications in line with internal standards
• Ensure all electrical designs meet applicable codes and safety regulations
• Work with vendors to select appropriate equipment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, drafters, and project managers
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute technical guidance
• Travel domestically and internationally as required
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in power system design
• Successful completion of the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA70E, IEEE, and other relevant codes
• Proficient in power system modeling tools (ETAP, SKM PTW, EasyPower)
• Experience with electrical studies (arc flash, coordination, harmonics, etc.)
• Knowledge of lightning protection systems design (NFPA 780)
• Familiarity with construction submittals, RFIs, and documentation processes
• Proficient in AutoCAD and general 2D drafting software
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of motor systems and motor starters (e.g., VFDs)
• Ability to estimate electrical design and construction costs
• Comfortable using test equipment like multimeters
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and PDF markup tools
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience with PLC and SCADA systems
• Skilled in scoping and estimating engineering project costs
• Familiarity with electrical area classification in gas processing environments
• Experience in both indoor and outdoor lighting design
