The Sales Manager will lead regional sales and business development activities across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) market, focusing on industrial and municipal clients. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities, developing commercial strategies, and managing the full sales cycle for wastewater and anaerobic digestion technology solutions.
You’ll act as the regional commercial driver — building strategic relationships, understanding client needs, and developing tailored technical proposals that align with our clients’ global portfolio.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market presence across APAC, targeting key sectors such as industrial wastewater, F&B, and municipal treatment.
• Lead the entire sales process from prospecting and lead qualification through to proposal, negotiation, and contract closure.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships with engineering firms, EPC contractors, utilities, and end users to expand reach and project pipeline.
• Collaborate closely with global technical, process, and project engineering teams to develop customized solutions for client applications.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy, pricing, and positioning across the region.
• Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, and industry events to promote brand visibility and technical capabilities.
• Manage and track sales performance, reporting progress against revenue and margin targets to the Global Sales Director.
• Support the bid and tendering process, ensuring all technical and commercial documentation meets client and regulatory requirements.
• Minimum 7+ years of technical sales or business development experience within the wastewater, biogas, or environmental technologies sector.
• Proven track record in selling capital equipment or turnkey systems for industrial or municipal clients.
• Strong understanding of biological wastewater treatment, anaerobic digestion, sludge management, or resource recovery processes.
• Experience engaging with F&B, industrial manufacturing, or utility clients in Asia-Pacific.
• Ability to manage long sales cycles and develop multi-stakeholder relationships at technical and executive levels.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; fluency in English required (additional Asian languages advantageous).
• Willingness to travel regionally (30–40%).
