AD Energy Recruitment is partnering exclusively with a leading cleantech / environmental technology company experiencing rapid international growth. The company develops and operates large-scale organics-to-energy facilities converting food waste, wastewater biosolids, and agricultural residues into pipeline-quality renewable gas.

Location: Remote, Global (North America / Europe / APAC)

Function: Strategic Sales & Global Market Expansion

Languages: English required; additional languages preferred

Travel: 50% international

They are seeking a Global Sales Director to spearhead strategic growth into new markets — driving new partnerships with global food & beverage manufacturers and industrial clients across wastewater, oil & gas, and agrifood sectors.

This is a role for a senior commercial operator who can translate sustainability ambitions into bankable, multi-country decarbonisation programs.

The Opportunity

As Global Sales Director, you will lead international commercial development for the company’s cleantech / environmental technology, enhancing technology sales and long-term energy supply agreements.

You’ll be responsible for opening new markets, developing global client accounts, and closing complex multi-region deals that accelerate the adoption of cleantech / environmental technology solutions across major industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global sales strategy targeting food & beverage, wastewater, oil & gas, and agrifood clients.

• Build and expand relationships with senior decision-makers across global F&B manufacturers and industrial producers.

• Identify and secure opportunities for feedstock supply, RNG offtake, and technology deployment.

• Structure and negotiate high-value commercial agreements (MSAs, PPAs, take-or-pay contracts, biomethane certificate deals).

• Collaborate closely with engineering, development, and finance teams to align commercial models with project feasibility and ROI.

• Represent the company at global conferences, customer engagements, and key industry networks.

• Maintain an accurate, probability-weighted global pipeline, forecasting revenue and reporting market intelligence.

What You Bring

• 10–15+ years of technical or capital equipment sales experience within RNG, wastewater treatment, oil & gas, agrifood, or cleantech sectors.

• Proven success selling into global food & beverage manufacturers (Nestlé, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Danone, etc.).

• Strong understanding of anaerobic digestion, biogas upgrading, process integration, or industrial decarbonisation.

• Demonstrated ability to originate, structure, and close complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals.

• Strong commercial instincts (pricing, margin, risk management) and contract experience.

• Self-driven, hands-on, and highly autonomous, with a track record of building business in scaling environments.

• Willingness to travel internationally (50%) to build partnerships and execute deals.

What You’ll Sell (Solution Suite)

• Anaerobic digestion (AD) and organics-to-energy systems.

• Biogas upgrading to RNG/biomethane, with grid injection or on-site use.

• Industrial wastewater and resource recovery solutions for food processors.

• Feedstock and offtake partnerships with large industrial and agricultural operators.

• EPC + long-term O&M for RNG and AD facilities.
