AD Energy is looking to hire an RNG Plant Manager for a key client based in Lisbon, New York.
The RNG Plant Manager will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of a renewable natural gas (RNG) facility.
This role focuses on ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production while meeting uptime and product quality standards.
The RNG Plant Manager will play a key role in daily operations, troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The salary for this role is between $100,000 – $120,000.
• Operational Control: Monitor, operate, and adjust digester and RNG upgrading equipment to maximize production safely and in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Startup and Shutdown: Perform proper startup and shutdown procedures for RNG systems, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Process Optimization: Partner with engineering and technical teams to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and assist with process adjustments.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct routine tests and inspections to ensure gas quality meets required specifications; troubleshoot and resolve quality issues promptly.
• Equipment Maintenance: Carry out routine preventive maintenance and coordinate necessary repairs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow and enforce OSHA and local safety standards, promoting a strong safety-first culture across the team.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of production data, equipment status, and maintenance activities.
• Emergency Response: Respond effectively to plant upsets and emergencies to protect personnel, equipment, and the facility.
• Other Duties: Support additional operational tasks as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational coursework preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; electrical experience a plus.
• Prior experience operating and maintaining industrial equipment, preferably within renewable energy, wastewater, or related industries.
• Familiarity with RNG production processes and equipment is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work on-call shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
