Transmission Line Engineer

AD Energy is excited to be working with a key client in the US to find a Transmission Line Engineer – the position is remote but a candidate in the Chicago area is preferred.

Please note: Candidates must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities include:

Provide development and design services on overhead and underground utility transmission line projects

Working on multiple projects while prioritizing work

Interface with utility clients and collaboration with design team

Preparation and development of transmission line construction packages

Utilizing GIS information to aide in design

Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members

Regularly meet and correspond with clients, equipment suppliers, surveyors, and construction personnel

Typical assignments include:

Design transmission lines utilizing client standards including

Routing, design and execution of transmission line projects

Prepare calculations and equipment specifications

Field walkdowns

Response to field questions

GIS mapping

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering

2-5 years of transmission line design experience

Eligibility to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
