AD Energy is working with a leading and Tier 1 Renewable Energy Manufacturer, renowned internationally for their high quality products (solar modules, cells, mounting systems and total pv solutions).

Our client continues to dominate the market and progressively expand their European operation. This requirement for an Area Sales Manager in Spain is as a result of accelerated growth and demand- this post holder will become an integral part of the existing operation in Spain.

The fundamental duties of this role will be to establish and maintain commercial sales activities with installers within the region and be a true advocate for the company’s product portfolio.Only candidates possessing a background in technical solar and PV sales will be considered.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Reporting to the European Sales Director on all relevant operational and commercial strategies in the region
  • Take full commercial sales and business development responsibility in the region
  • Undertake deep market research for strategy refinement and business planning
  • Prepare annual plans, monthly sales and sales reports
  • Effectively implement and execute market sales/ commercial strategy
  • Focus on pursuing sales targeting installers and epcs
  • Maintain, pursue, and establish further business relations with Distributors, Installers, EPC and Systems Integrators within the Solar Industry
  • Pursue a proactive market approach for new client acquisition for installers/ projects
  • Keep abreast of influencing market drivers, competitive market factors that might potentially effect company market share
  • Successfully and actively work on increasing market share
  • Coordinate internal and external support for sales, business development, marketing, technical service
  • Be an advocate for the brand and company, be fully immersed with the product portfolio and developments
  • Be the first point of contact for also product and technical queries
  • Participate in industry exhibitions, tradeshows, conference and relevant meeting as leading company representative
  • Work alongside fellow colleagues and active work to grow the team in the region long term

Key Requirements:

  • Degree-educated within Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy and Renewables
  • A minimum of 2 years’ local sales management experience within the Solar PV Industry
  • Proven background to improve market share
  • In depth and extensive PV market knowledge and technical product ability, enthusiasm for innovation
  • Direct commercial experience and knowledge about solar cell, module, pv systems and kits would be highly advantageous
  •  Possess an established network with credible distributors, installers, epc, and engineering partners in region
  • Proven sales leadership or people management experience
  • Strong business acumen, negotiation and communication skills
  • Strategic and flexible nature, able to adapt accordingly to high pressure and dynamic market
  • Ability to prioritize high priority demands and workloads, work effectively in intense environment
  • Commercial and solutions- orientated
  •  Detail-orientated, a good problem solver
  • Fluent English and Spanish language ability
