Test Facilities Engineer – Electric Vehicles

We currently have an open position for a Test Facilities Engineer UK-wide (opportunities will be site-based and road based.)

Key responsibilities:

• Technical support for Propulsion Facilities
• Provide corrective and preventive maintenance on battery and/or Powertrain testing automation systems
• Develop and improve test schedules for test systems
• Conducts investigations and prepares reports to support investigations on automation systems
• Identify failures and suggest modifications to testing systems
• Provide technical support and training for testing staff
• Assure all instruments are calibrated and generating reliable data

Qualifications:

• BSc in technical disciplines.

Experience:

• Must have experience using wiring diagrams and harness drawings
• Experience working with automation software
• Experience with Instrumentation including thermocouples and pressure transducers
• Should be familiar to test beds main controls including PID tuning, actuators, and BMS
• An automotive background is desirable

Skills:

• Demonstrate strong organizational skills mostly when handling large amounts of data
• Familiar with automotive test automation
• Aptitude to repair electrical and mechanical systems
• Software coding and scripting skills are highly desirable
