Job Description


AD Energy is in collaboration with a well-renowned solar power business, in search of a Commercial & Industrial Sales VP. Although a home-based role, this position will require very frequent travel around the region of the Benelux.

Our Client offers their smart and intelligent services and products to the full array in the market segment: residential, commercial, and industrial and Utility. The business has been experiencing huge growth in the past few years in the region, and now it is time to focus on accelerating the C & I sales operation in Benelux.

This position will be responsible for managing all relevant client relations and sales strategies for the market segments concerned; in addition to delivering all day to day business and conducting product and service training. We are also now offering a world-class ESS option to clients and this will form part of the newly created role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review the business’ strategic sales plans for the region, align with HQ
  • Identify, pursue and close new sales opportunities and partnerships
  • Further establish, nurture and manage business relations with EPC’S, Solar Developers, Investors, Consultants, other Stakeholders
  • Engage with regional solar installers estate companies, and utilities
  • Perform sales analysis and forecasting to ensure that sales is on track and objectives are reached
  • Action on new initiatives or corrective measures to ensure the growth of the business
  • Be an advocate for the brand and execute the brand message
  • Cross-function assistance: working alongside the product management team to improve product portfolio and services.
  • Regular market research- utilise information for business planning and new product development
  • Suggest and input into local marketing strategy- focus on product positioning
  • Be a representative for the business at trade shows and conferences
  • Liaise with an international team and HQ

Key skills and attributes:

  • Degree educated with a relevant field
  • Experience in Technical Sales
  • Experience or background in solar PV, photovoltaics and complex Solar project delivery
  • A strong record of growing market share through good strategy
  • A strong affinity for technical and renewable products, eager to learn
  • Possess a strong network within the solar and PV sector, especially in Commercial and Utility market
  • Great sales management and sales negotiation skills
  • Flexible and entrepreneurial nature
  • A direct and clear focus on clients and their needs
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, experience working in a global business
  • Highly motivated and driven
  • Work effectively equally in a team and on their own
  • Fluent language ability in English
