Job Description

My client is the premier anaerobic digester developer/owner/operator in the United States. Their closed-loop anaerobic digestion process converts organic waste and cow manure into green electricity or renewable natural gas as well as other related “value-added” products.

Funded by institutional capital partners, and currently have 20+ projects operating and in development in over 13 states. With plans to aggressively expand into other domestic markets.

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for QA/QC activities for projects under construction. This includes reviewing test packets, coordinating with 3rd party contractors, and reading and understanding drawings to perform quality checks.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to oversee and execute multiple projects at once.
• Review and understand submitted test packs and build test logs.
• Check P&ID’s, Line Lists, IFC Design drawings and criteria with ASME or CFR being either of the testing requirements.
• Experience with understanding Turnover; mechanical and electrical turnover from each subcontractor to support the installations and testing for each project.
• Verify each project has the proper installation and materials, traceability, qualifications, certifications, O&M manuals etc.
• Ensure all engineering and design changes are approved by the design engineer.
• Ability to understand IFC, P&ID’s and Orthographic drawings to capture any “redline” changes or deviations from the original design.
• Address issues and proposed solutions.
• Develop or update procedures for capture, investigation, and documentation.
• Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed.
• Ability to read and understand drawings (ex. Weld Map)

Skills and Qualifications:

• At least 5 years’ experience in above and below ground piping
• Public utilities background is a plus
• Experience with piping systems installed to the standards for ASME B31 / CFR/ DOT.
• Proven ability to understand projects according to outlined quality specifications and safety requirements.
• Experience in building multiple excel logs for every project to support the installations
• Experience with Excel, Adobe Pro, Bluebeam, and Procore
• Well Organized
• Very Resourceful
• Self-Motivated
• Experience in document control program development and execution.
